This position takes an active role to ensure established environmental, health, and safety standards and procedures are met and complied with. Provides support on moderate to complex environmental, health, and safety issues to managers and staff, including compliance with EHS legislation and the implementation of the EHS Management System. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state EHS regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Participates in regulatory inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and records, and trains employees on regulations and company policies and procedures pertaining to EHS. Requires broad knowledge in EHS to support moderate to complex issues.

Utilize a broad knowledge of at least two EHS disciplines to provide advice, support, and technical guidance to the EHS Manager on moderate to complex issues.
Implement selected programs to support the site's operations, its compliance with EHS legislation, and EHS Management System requirements to include acting as liaison with all related worker's compensation insurance issues, oversight of the return to work program, handling all aspects of safety sensitive and FAA required drug testing, and leading all occupational health services and overseeing all Industrial Hygiene monitoring.
Coordinate and conduct specialized Environmental, Health, and Safety audits and inspections of premises and operations in conjunction with others to monitor performance and assist the relevant line management to produce action plans to implement the necessary improvements.
Support and implement programs to improve environmental, health, and safety performance and identify opportunities to prevent injuries and illness. Is constantly aware of and looks for ways to eliminate safety hazards and improve the overall safety of the workplace, and makes recommendations for improving effectiveness of EHS policies and procedures.
Provide subject specific EHS related training as required by legislation and identified for the promotion of high standards of EHS management on the site such as electrical safety, confined spaces, ergonomics, etc.
Promote the active management of two or more aspects of Environment, Health and/or Safety through the identification of hazards, evaluation of solutions and residual risk, and prioritized management action. Support EHS committee and other ad hoc groups within the site.
Maintain relevant records, produce reports and review statistics, to include the Risk Assessment for Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
Comply with all safety and environmental regulations, and work to create and promote a safe working environment.
Adhere to all Goodrich rules and codes of conduct and quality procedures.

Experience/Skills Required:
Four Year Degree
Strong written & verbal communication, computer, and analytical skills required.
At least 3 years of experience with duties listed above.
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
Experience in the interpretation of local and state environmental and safety standards.
Demonstrated experience in the integration of EHS into the manufacturing process.
Capable of working with a wide range of people from site leader to shop floor operators.
Influencing and negotiating skills.
Ability to work hours in excess of 40 per week.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Preferred:
Safety Related professional certifications: ASP, CSP EOE D/M/F/V
