Job Description:	The Exploration & Producing (E&P) Business Line of Saudi Aramco, the largest producer of oil and gas in the world, is seeking to fill multiple contract safety positions that will be phased into a permanent position at the end of the contract period. The incumbents will serve as Department Safety Engineers for one of our eight operating departments in our Southern Area Oil Operations. We are looking for personnel with the best match to the following qualifications: • University/College degree in occupational safety or related engineering disciplines (Masters degree a plus) • Certification as a CSP or equivalent desired, but not required • Ten to 15 years of progressive experience in safety and health in heavy industry (upstream oil and gas preferred but will consider other similar experience) • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems and their implementation, sustainability and measurement including OHSAS 18001 or similar systems • Experience in risk assessment and risk management including qualitative risk assessment methodologies • Technical safety expertise in the classic OSHA subjects such as confined space, control of hazardous energy, etc. • Practical knowledge and application of root cause investigation and analysis methodologies (TapRooT preferred) • Able to work with all levels of employees and management from operational apprentices to Vice Presidents • Working knowledge of behavior-based safety and its integration into safety and operations • Excellent communication and presentation skills These contract positions include two expense paid trips per year back to the country of origin, housing, business transportation and meal allowances. There may be significant tax benefits; however, it is the candidate’s responsibility to make that determination in keeping with the tax laws of their current country of residence. The contract rates for these positions are determined solely through negotiation with our Contracts Department. However, an expected range would be $90,000 to $175,000 annually. The E&P Business Line has committed significant resources to bring trailing indicators into line with industry leaders and offers excellent salary and benefits packages once the contract is completed and the incumbent and Saudi Aramco Department agree to move forward.
