Qualifications
J.1.1.1. Has either (or both) a Professional Engineering (PE) certificate,
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certificate or is a senior
scientist with the supporting degree.
J.1.1.2. 10 years of relevant and recent management or supervisory
experience.
J.1.1.3. 7 years experience in at least three of the four functional areas
outlined below:
J.1.1.3.1. Large missile, space vehicle, rocket, torpedo, prelaunch/
post-launch operations, and/or recovery operations.
J.1.1.3.2. System safety hazards analysis, design, or
research/development testing of ordnance, explosives, other
types of munitions, pyrotechnics, cryogenic and
toxic/hypergolic propellants, high pressure gases, radioactive
materials, or other hazardous systems/components.
J.1.1.3.3. Nuclear safety and/or ionizing/non-ionizing radiation.
J.1.1.3.4. Preparation and/or review and approval of hazardous
operating procedures for missile/weapons systems.
J.1.1.4. 5 years experience in NASA launch operations (or equivalent)
providing familiarity with operations safety.
J.1.1.5. 3 years experience in flight safety analyses tasks and related
duties. |
