ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST
PTI GROUP USA-ENGLEWOOD, CO
Oversee the day-to-day environmental functions for Mountain West & PTI locations. Provide maximum development, implementation, & monitoring of facilities, properties, and remote locations. Serves as the divisions designated environmental advisor to ensure compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes and communicates environmental policies, programs, and procedures to division staff.
Develops and implements key programs for waste management, erosion control, spill prevention & control, potable water & sewage disposal practices. Tracks air emissions and data against applicable equipment standards & regulations.
Responsible for monitoring all divisions’ locations to insure environmental compliance.
Assists operations personnel with waste water hauling compliance procedures, sampling procedures, and performs regular audits of manifest & other disposal documentation.
Ensures all staff are properly trained on EPA, applicable state & company environmental programs Works with EHS specialists to support field concerns & provides follow up on an on-going basis
Support spill clean-up & emergency response efforts by fleet transportation supervisor. Assist with the development of operator training & certifications for wastewater treatment activities, water sampling, and other duties as assigned.
Follow up on Phase I, due diligence, and property site assessments to close action items.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Highly knowledgeable of environmental regulations, regulatory submissions, & managing multiple locations
• 5 years experience with any combination of water quality, pollution prevention, spill & emergency response, wastewater treatment, waste management & other environmental or regulatory specific work.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills which enable influence and effective partnering.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and problem solve.
• Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
