Job Position:	Safety & Environmental Management Officer
Job Description:	A position with responsibility for evaluating potential health and safety risks, writing policies, performing exposure monitoring, and auditing internal compliance with SEM programs. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field or equivalent work experience. A combination of education and experience (normally considered 5 years) will be considered. Excellent oral/written communication and organization skills are required. Demonstrated ability to use computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Ability to travel, normally requiring a valid driver's license is also required. This position will require frequent contacts with faculty, graduate students, international visitors and regulators, in an advisory or technical liaison role. Applicants must be able to perform physical tasks required to conduct investigations, training, and audits. Appropriate background checks and a physical exam will be required.
