In this responsible role, you will manage and improve Health and Safety Programs in a manner consistent with both corporate and government standards. This includes providing safety, task and hazard training for new employees, visitors and contractors; maintaining plant safety equipment; initiating periodic drills and review of emergency procedures; supporting Hazardous Materials and Emergency Response teams; maintaining communication with local emergency authorities; and eliciting suggestions for improvement from others. Requirements include a 4-year college degree, preferably in Safety or a related major as well as 10 to 15 years of experience in the Safety field. MSHA experience is preferred.
